By Raymond Carl Dela Cruz | Philippine News Agency

The “habagat” or the southwest monsoon will bring overcast skies and some rains in the western part of the country on Saturday, May 28.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region, Western Visayas, and the Zamboanga Peninsula, brought by the “habagat”.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by localized thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds headed southwest to south will blow over the western part of the country, resulting in moderate coastal water conditions.

The same wind conditions will prevail over the rest of the country, resulting in slight to moderate seas.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 26°C to 32°C; Baguio City, 17°C to 25°C; Legazpi City, 27°C to 30°C; Metro Cebu, 24°C to 33°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 32°C. – gb
