By Jose Cielito Reganit | Philippine News Agency

The southwest monsoon or “habagat” will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon, the weather bureau said Saturday, July 1.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to the “habagat” and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds blowing south to southwest will prevail over the Western sections of Northern and Central Luzon. The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds blowing southeast to south.

The Visayas and Mindanao will have the same wind conditions, but blowing east to southeast.

Coastal waters across the archipelago will be slight to moderate.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 26°C to 33°C; Baguio City, 18°C to 24°C; Laoag City, 25°C to 32°C; Legazpi City, 26°C to 35°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 35°C. – gb
