Helicopter crash lands in Bukidnon

A helicopter made an emergency landing in Lantapan, Bukidnon on Thursday, July 27.

Operated by the Philippine Adventist Medical Aviation Services (PAMAS), R44 Raven crash landed in a banana plantation in Sitio Babahagon at about 9:45 a.m.

Onboard the chopper were two pilots and two passengers, who all survived the incident.

In a statement, PAMAS said pilot Jared Hoewing was flying the helicopter at around 3,000 feet altitude when it began losing power.

Hoewing had to do an emergency landing about three miles from the airbase.

PAMAS said one passenger was hurt.

“One passenger was taken to the hospital for further evaluation, but his condition was not critical. There were no other injuries,” it added.

An investigation is ongoing.
