Heroes’ Lounge for cops, soldiers now open in 24 airports

MANILA — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has put up Heroes Lounge in various airports across the country in honor of the heroism of members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police.

“The initiative was launched to show appreciation and gratitude to the country’s military men and police officers for their sacrifices towards peace and in defending and securing the nation from harm,” the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said in a statement late Wednesday.

Uniformed personnel – including retirees, Medal of Valor awardees, and their immediate families traveling with them can avail of the amenities at the Heroes’ Lounge for free, subject to existing rules and regulations.

These lounges have comfortable seats and relaxing interiors with free Wi-Fi connection.

Currently, 24 Heroes Lounge, which cater to police and military personnel are now operating in the following airports:
