The House of Representatives approved the Caregivers Welfare Act on the third and final reading.

The Caregivers Welfare Act written by 1PACMAN Partylist Representative Eric Pineda aims to provide protection to Filipino caregivers with benefits such as leave benefits, social security, and medical insurance under the Social Security System and the Philippine Health Insurance Law.

Under the act, caregivers are also given power to nullify their contracts if they experience verbal or emotional abuse, maltreatment, and crime from their employers or any members of the family.
