House approves Green Measures Act in final reading

The lower chamber of Congress approved the Green Measures Act on the third and final reading.

The bill aims to require tree planting for those who will construct a building. Under the proposed law, applicants for a building permit will be required to submit a tree planting plan aside from the other needed documents.

Under the Green Measures Act, a tree must be planted for every 500 square meters of commercial space and one tree for every 250 sq. m. for housing and development projects. – PTV News
