House proposes PRRD emergency powers on PhilHealth mess

The House Committee on Public Accounts is proposing the grant of emergency powers to President Rodrigo R. Duterte to completely resolve the issue of corruption in PhilHealth.

Malacañang is open to the idea but Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque says he has yet to see the actual recommendation of the Lower House before giving a detailed comment.

Secretary Roque also assures that, as a lawyer, President Duterte knows the law. With or without the power, he is sure that the stride of the President is right.
