Hundreds of posts up for grabs in Millennial Job Fair

LAOAG CITY — Hundreds of jobs will be available for young Ilocanos at the Millennial Job Fair set Oct. 30 at the Robinsons Mall activity area here.

Anne Marie Lizette Bitancor-Atuan, Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO) manager, said this special job fair is meant for graduates of senior high school who want to earn a living.

“This is not, however, limited to senior high school but also for college graduates who are not employed yet,” she added.

Atuan said interested applicants may inquire at the PESO-Ilocos Norte office located at the ground floor of the Provincial Capitol building.

Based on a report of the PESO, local employment in this premiere tourism destination of the north had increased to more than 35 percent from a mere 3 percent in 2010.

In 2012, the provincial government under Gov. Imee Marcos launched the “Task Force Trabaho” program to boost the employment rate in Ilocos Norte. ( Leilanie Adriano/PNA)
