IACAT conducts 6th Manila International Dialogue on human trafficking

The Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) conducted its 6th Manila International Dialogue on Human Trafficking along with several local and international partners.

The yearly dialogue centered on the response of the government against human trafficking with the theme “Modern Day Slavery during COVID-19: Challenges, Priorities, and Perspectives”.

According to some officials, the government continues to strengthen the campaign against human trafficking in spite of the global health crisis caused by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

“To all our partners in the international organizations, non-government organizations, civil society organizations, and government member agencies, please continue the good work as we forge towards the future of the global anti-trafficking response,” Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Menardo Guevarra appealed. – PTV News
