IATF-EID approves Antigen screening protocol for domestic air travel

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has approved the Antigen screening protocol for all domestic air travel passengers.

The Antigen test kits are more affordable and show results quicker than other test kits. According to the IATF-EID, the screening protocol aims to ease the process for travelling while ensuring the safety of the public.

Meanwhile, the task force has approved the revival of the Rapidpass System, giving QR codes to Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APORs). Its improved process is being created by authorities.

The IATF-EID has also allowed the Department of Health (DOH) to conduct vaccination against small pox and polio in areas with various quarantine classification.

On the tourism industry, the task force has allowed more hotels and accommodation to operate including those under the specialized programs of the Department of Tourism (DOT).
