IATF orders LGUs to prioritize submission of updates

The Inter-Agency Task Force in its new resolution ordered local government units (LGUs) to submit the trend of active COVID-19 cases and other COVID-related updates within their jurisdiction to monitor their situation.

Based on IATF Resolution No. 55-A, LGUs are directed to submit to the COVID-Kaya the daily trend of active cases, number and percentage of population, percentage of close contacts and of those in quarantine, utilization of community isolation beds, health system capacity target and utilization, and COVID special teams investigations and results.

Regarding the economy of NCR and Region IV-A, the IATF also released a directive for the DTI and DOTr to increase business sector capacity “vis-à-vis available transportation.”

Meanwhile, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Thursday announced that they have received the recommendations of Vice President Robredo on the COVID-19 response.

“Nagpapasalamat po kami kay Vice President sa kanyang panahon na ginugol para ipadala ang kanyang suhestyon. Bagama’t ini-implement na halos lahat ng rekomendasyon niya ay importante rin po na makipag-communicate pa rin tayo sa pangalawang pangulo ng bansa (We thank the Vice President for finding time to send her suggestions. Although almost all of her recommendations have been implemented, it is important to communicate with the Vice President).”

Roque added they will formally respond to the Vice President. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
