Indian community donates Php12M-worth of face masks to PH gov’t

CAMP AGUINALDO, April 9, 2020 – The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and the Indian community in the Philippines donated more than Php 12 million worth of face masks to the Philippine government for distribution to hospitals throughout the country.

The donations included 75, 000 pieces of KN95 face masks, and 75, 000 pieces of N88 face masks.

FICCI Chairman Rex Daryanani, and President Mike Advani, led the turn-over of the face masks to the Office of the Civil Defense. The event was witnessed by Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, chair of the National Task Force on COVID-19; Presidential Peace Adviser Carlito Galvez Jr, chief implementer of the National Action Plan against COVID 19; and Ricardo Jalad, executive director of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
