Infra damage in Bicol due to ‘Usman’ hits P2-B mark

MANILA — Tropical Depression Usman has so far caused PHP2,073,518,500 worth of damages to infrastructure in the Bicol region alone.

In its 6 p.m. Friday update, National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council executive director Ricardo Jalad said the figures are still undergoing validation.

Damage to agriculture for Bicol and Eastern Visayas was placed at PHP528,509,569.55.

Also undergoing verification are the 122 persons killed, 28 missing, and 60 injured in Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), Bicol, and Eastern Visayas reportedly due to “Usman”.
