MANILA – Most parts of the country will experience isolated rain showers on Monday, Feb. 14, the weather bureau said.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the shear line affecting extreme northern Luzon will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Cagayan Valley.

Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region will experience isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon or amihan affecting the rest of Luzon, PAGASA weather forecaster Grace Castañeda said.

“The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by the easterlies or localized thunderstorms,” Castañeda added.

She said there is no weather disturbance currently affecting the country.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over northern Luzon, the eastern section of central and southern Luzon, the eastern section of the Visayas Mindanao.

Strong to gale force winds are forecast over the northern seaboard of northern Luzon. Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture into the sea, and larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA) – bny
