ITCZ to bring rain showers in Mindanao, E. Visayas

MANILA—An intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Mindanao and Eastern Visayas Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 24-hour forecast, Pagasa said the ITCZ will bring moderate to at times heavy rains that may result in flooding or landslides.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Extreme northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds coming from the northeast, while central and southern Luzon and the rest of northern Luzon will have light to moderate winds.

The day’s lowest temperature is expected in Baguio City at 16 degrees Celsius while the highest temperature is expected in Tuguegarao City and Subic/Clark area in central Luzon at 35 degrees Celsius. (Lily O. Ramos/PNA)
