JTF COVID Shield prepares list of APOR

The Joint Task Force COVID Shield is preparing the list of Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR), the Philippine National Police (PNP)’s basis for quarantine checkpoints.

“Dalawang category ang ating APOR, una yung bahagi ng workforce. Ito ‘yung mag- ooperate ng mga permitted establishments. Pangalawa, itong mga kababayan natin na mag-aavail ng mga goods at services. (We have 2 categories of APOR, the first group comprises those who are part of the workforce, those who operate the permitted establishments. The second one are those who will avail of goods and services.)” JTF COVID Shield Commander PLt. Gen Guillermo Eleazar explained.

The task force is only waiting for several details from the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to finalize the list.

PLt. Gen. Eleazar reiterated that social distancing and wearing of face masks are still strictly implemented even in areas under General Community Quarantine.

In relation with this, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) clarified that quarantine passes are still required in places under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine such as Metro Manila, Cebu City, and Laguna.

According to DILG Spokesperson Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya, the public’s movements are limited even if the guidelines are quite lenient on checkpoints. Curfews are still implemented in areas under GCQ and Modified ECQ.
