Know Your Candidates: The ‘gift’ of House aspirant ‘Ninong’ Dela Cruz to Malabueños

Incumbent Vice Mayor and now Congressional aspirant Bernard “Ninong” Dela Cruz sits down with Jon Santos to discuss why he deserves to be elected as the representative of the Lone District of Malabon City in “Know Your Candidates” over at People’s Television Network (PTV).

While not hailing from a political family, Dela Cruz has always aspired to be a public servant. “Ang pangarap ko talaga ay maglingkod sa bayan. Mula pa noong ako po ay high school, nangarap na akong maging public servant.”

If elected as a lawmaker, Dela Cruz said he would continue to be the voice of his constituents and fight for higher budget allocation in his district. Prioritizing health and infrastructure, Dela Cruz said he wants to have a dialysis center for Malbueños as well as install WiFi sites in the city’s public spaces.

“Ako po ay hindi nangangako pero ako po ay magtatrabaho… Si Ninong ay laging nasa tabi po ng ating mga kababayan sa malabon,” the House of Representatives aspirant assured.

In concluding the episode, Jon Santos reminds Filipino voters that the future of the nation lies with every vote, urging the public to scrutinize the candidates’ values, backgrounds, and platforms before shading their names on the ballot.
