Lian Mayor Bolompo dies of COVID-19 at 68


Lian, Batangas Mayor Isagani Bolompo passed away due to Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Saturday, October 24 at 68.

In a Facebook post, the Municipality of Lian shared that the town has “lost a great leader who never stopped thinking about the welfare of his constituents even at the very last hours of his life.”

“The Bolompo family would like to express our sincerest gratitude to everyone who prayed for Mayor Bolompo as he fought against the Covid19 virus. A new angel has risen to the heavens and will continue to guide the people of Lian, Batangas. Again, a big thank you Lianeños for all the love and support,” the post continued.

Lian Town has recorded 9,022 COVID-19 cases, 7,396 recoveries, and 245 deaths as of October 25. – PTV News
