Local farmers earn P5.8B in selling products to LGUs

The local farmers have earned Php 5.8 billion in selling their products to local government units (LGUs).

According to Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary William Dar, 15,000 farmers and fisherfolk have benefitted from the established Kadiwa outlets of the government. 425 LGUs have been buying products directly from the stores.

Sec. Dar has ensured that the program will continue to serve the consumers nationwide especially in Metro Manila now that it is under general community quarantine. – PTV News
