LPA to bring rains over Metro Manila, parts of Luzon Sunday

 

MANILA — Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon will experience rains due to the low pressure area (LPA) spotted 410 kilometers west northwest of Coron, Palawan, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, central Luzon and Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan).

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, mostly in the afternoon or in the evening.

Meanwhile, in northern Luzon, moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from northeast to east. Its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Elsewhere, light to moderate winds will prevail with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
