MANILA—Two weather systems, a low pressure area (LPA) and the southwest monsoon or habagat, will bring rain showers in most parts of the country Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 24-hour forecast released at 4 a.m., the state weather bureau said the LPA was last observed at 655 kilometers east northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar province while the southwest monsoon continues to affect the western section of Luzon.

Eastern Visayas will experience moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the trough of LPA.

Ilocos and Cordillera regions, Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will have light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with isolated rain showers brought by localized thunderstorms.

Coastal waters in northern and western Luzon will be rough to very rough.

Temperature in Manila will range from 26-33 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 26-36 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 16-23 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 26-32 degrees Celsius and Metro Davao 24-22 degrees Celsius. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
