LPA spotted off Cagayan, easterlies affecting eastern Mindanao

MANILA— A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted 3,030 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan but would likely dissolve and not develop into a typhoon, the weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4 a.m. forecast on Monday that the easterlies are affecting the eastern section of Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 25-32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 25-33 degrees Celsius; Baguio 16-24 degrees Celsius, Angeles City 25-32 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 23-32 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 26-33 degrees Celsius, and Metro Davao 25-34 degrees Celsius. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
