LPA, tailend of cold front to bring rains Tuesday: PAGASA

MANILA — Some parts of the country will experience rains Tuesday due to the tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern section of northern and central Luzon, the northeast monsoon over extreme northern Luzon and a low pressure area (LPA) over southern Mindanao.

In its 24-hour forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the tail-end of a cold front will affect the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora and Quezon.

It also said rains will affect Mindanao due to a trough of the LPA, while the province of Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience isolated rainshowers. (Lily O. Ramos/PNA)
