LRTA deals with LRT-2 bog down

The power rectifier fire between Anonas Station and Katipunan Station yesterday, 03 October 2019 has resulted in the shutdown of LRT-2. According to the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), the cause of the blaze and the damage cost are both not yet determined. In addition, the train management cannot tell when will their transportation operations resume. It, however, plans to do partial operations in the meantime–passenger transportation by LRT-2 only between Recto Station and Cubao Station. The LRTA said it will study when to begin the repair process. It now coordinates with other government offices with regard to the consequent heavy traffic below the railroad. The train management apologizes to LRT-2 passengers because of the temporary shutdown happening.
