LTFRB, katuwang sa ligtas na pagpapauwi ng mga katutubo sa Mindanao

Nagtulungan ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), kasama ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine National Police (PNP), at Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) para sa ligtas na pagpapauwi ng 231 katutubo sa iba’t-ibang bahagi ng Mindanao noong Hunyo 7 sa pamamagitan ng Balik-Probinsya Program ng gobyerno.

Sa pakikipag-ugnayan ng LTFRB sa RRCG Transport System Company Inc,, nakapagbigay ang bus company ng mga bus na magsasakay ng mga locally stranded individuals (LSI) na pinaniniwalaang mga biktima ng human trafficking. Dagdag pa iyan sa mga bus na pinagamit ng PCG para sa mga LSI.

Bukod diyan, nagpamahagi rin ang LTRFB ng face mask, face shield, pagkain, at tubig sa mga LSI bago sila bumiyahe pauwi ng Mindanao.

Tiniyak naman ng DSWD at PCG na maayos ang papeles ng mga LSI na uuwi sa kani-kanilang probinsya at sinigurong negatibo sa COVID-19 ang mga pasahero.

Sa tulong naman ng LTFRB Enforcement Team at PNP, naihatid ang mga LSI sa North Pier sa Maynila kung saan sasakay sila ng barko at mga bus papuntang Mindanao.

Patuloy ang serbisyong hatid ng Balik Probinsya Program upang ligtas maiuwi ang mga LSI mula Metro Manila at iba’t-ibang bahagi ng bansa papunta sa kani-kanilang tahanan.
