LTFRB, LTO puspusan ang laban kontra-korapsyon

Puspusan ang ginagawang hakbang ng gobyerno upang sugpuin ang katiwalian at korapsyon sa sektor ng transportasyon.

Ayon sa Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and Land Transportation Office (LTO), kabilang sa kanilang target ang pigilan ang paglaganap ng mga “fixer.”

Siyam na regional directors na ang nasibak sa ilalim ng termino ni LTFRB Chairperson Martin Delgra, kabilang na ang dalawang appointees sa administrasyong Duterte, dahil sa korapsyon.

Nagbabala naman ang LTO sa mga taong lumalapit at tumatangkilik sa serbisyo ng mga “fixer.”

“Hindi lang po administrative ang inyong kaparusahan kundi even criminal, at wala pong value ‘yung papel na nakuha niyo, o lisensya na nakuha niyo, kung idinaan po ito sa iligal na pamamaraan,” paalala ni LTO chief Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante.

Nilinaw naman ng LTFRB na libre lang ang aplikasyon para sa provisional authority kung gagawin nang online.

Maging ang Department of Transportation (DOTr), kung saan kunektado ang LTO at LTFRB, puspusan din ang pagsugpo sa katiwalian.

“Ang natanggal na ho, dismissed for cause, more than 145 people. Mayroon din hong natanggal. Nasuspinde, mga 20, at mayroong isang kasong inirefer sa PACC [Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission],” saad ni DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade.
