Former PNP-CIDG chief and now Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong announces that he receives overwhelming support from the members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) because of his exposition of the corruption kept in the PNP. He also mentions of the death threats Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency chief Aaron Aquino and he receive consequently. Senator Richard Gordon, Chairperson of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee says the hearing on said corruption has paved the way to unveil the illicit activities of the “ninja cops.” PNP chief Oscar Albayalde, however, avers that he does not defend his men, and that no one is exempted from the internal cleansing program. Next week, Sen. Gordon releases his recommendation based on the findings from the hearing.
