Majority of Metro Manila mayors are now amenable to place the whole country under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) in March.

According to Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco, 9 local chiefs have agreed to shift the country to MGCQ while 8 have voted for GCQ.

The mayors are set to submit their decision to the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).
