Makati opens another site for A4 vaccination

The Makati City government opened today (June 10) the third vaccination site in a mall which will only serve individuals under the A4 priority group composed of essential workers.

Assistant City Health Officer Dr. Roland Unson said they are still awaiting for supplies, but assured their current stock is sufficient to inoculate individuals under priority groups A1 to A4.

“Mahigit pa po sa 20,000 ‘yung supply natin ng Sinovac, so kaya pa po namin i-accommodate ‘yung mga darating pa,” Unson said.

The vaccination is also open to non-residents who work in Makati as long as their employers register them online to secure a schedule.

According to testing czar Sec. Vince Dizon, the Moderna vaccine batch that includes those procured by the private sector will arrive on June 21. This will be followed by procured AstraZeneca doses in July.

Meanwhile, the inoculation of 1,000 more personnel of the One-Stop Shop for the Management of Returning Overseas Filipinos (OSS) continued today at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 4.

Dizon gave an additional 5,000 doses from the government to complete the vaccination of 7,000 OSS personnel at the NAIA.

Meanwhile, Baguio City is targeting to increase its daily vaccination output to 1,000 from its four vaccination sites. – Report from Patrick de Jesus/AG-jlo
