Malacañang denies rumors of national lockdown

Malacañang has denied rumors in social media that the government will implement a national lockdown.

The story has been circulating in social media that the administration will announce a nationwide lockdown where public markets are to be closed, forcing people to buy necessities good for two weeks.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo appealed to the public to stop spreading misinformation while Senator Bong Go pointed out that disseminating fake news only adds to the burden of the Filipinos.
