Malacaῆang welcomes survey result on citizen opinion on country’s response to COVID-19 pandemic

Malacaῆang welcomed the result of a new global survey that shows Filipinos are satisfied with the government’s response on the COVID-19 pandemic.

Based on the research of international agencies Toluna and Blackbox Research on The World in Crisis, A Global Public Opinion Survey Across 23 Countries, the Philippines has an overall index score of 49.

The country scored 45 on national political leadership, 37 on corporate aspect, 36 on community, and 78 on media.

Although China and Vietnam topped the survey, the Philippines surpassed Australia, USA, and Japan.

“Fighting COVID-19 is indeed a collective effort, as the survey indicated. Government cannot do it alone and we are therefore grateful to the private sector, the media, and the community in general for demonstrating the true Filipino bayanihan spirit in this extraordinary situation,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said.

“Let us continue to show our solidarity with our people and cooperation with authorities, so together, we can truly heal as one nation,” Roque added. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
