Manila Bay gets visitors despite typhoon

Some individuals are still heading to Manila Bay to witness the controversial artificial white sand despite the bad weather brought about by typhoon Quinta.

Local visitors explained that they are in the area to observe its condition, while some were fishing.

Strong winds were felt in Baywalk and sea waves were low. However, piles of garbage washed up on the shore, including the area covered by dolomite. The wastes have been gathered by the Department of Public Services of the Manila LGU.

Meanwhile, Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said no flooding were recorded in the city. Movement of vehicles along Espaῆa Blvd. was also smooth on Monday.
