Marcos to keep infra projects following Duterte’s Build, Build, Build

By Lynroe Francisco

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. vowed during his inauguration that his administration will continue building infrastructures and complete the ongoing projects of the Duterte administration’s Build, Build, Build program.

In his inaugural speech on June 30, Marcos said his father, the late former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., “built more and better roads, produced more rice than all administrations before his.”

He continued that former President Rodrigo Duterte, likewise, “built more and better than all the administrations” succeeding Marcos Sr.

“Much has been built and so well that the economic dogma of dispersing industry to develop the least likely places has been upturned. Development was brought to them,” he added.

He also said industries are being set up in “promising roads built.”

“Following these giant steps, we will continue to build. I will complete on schedule the projects that have been started. I am not interested in taking credit, I want to build on success that’s already happening,” he said.

“We will be presenting the public a comprehensive infrastructure plan,” he continued, adding that “six years could be just about enough time.”

He also assured that no part of our country will be neglected and no investment will be wasted. – ag
