Marikina government lifts fishing ban

The Marikina City Government has lifted the fishing ban on Marikina River. According to Mayor Marcy Teodoro, fishes found in the river are not contaminated. The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources certified this after the local government of Marikina City had prohibited the fishing activities in the water due to floating hog carcasses found there.
