Marikina LGU, naghahanda sa posibleng pagbaha sanhi ng tag-ulan

Patuloy ang paghahanda ng Marikina City local government para sa posibleng pagbaha sa mga flood-prone areas nito ngayong tag-ulan na sa bansa.

Ayon kay Marikina Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Chief Dave David, tuloy-tuloy silang nagsasagawa ng engineering intervention upang ayusin ang drainage system ng lungsod.

Aniya, tumutulong sa kanila ang Department of Public Works and Highways at Metropolitan Manila Development Authority sa isinasagawang dredging sa Marikina River.

Kasama rin sa programa ng Marikina LGU ang pagbibigay-kaalaman sa mga residente nito tungkol sa mga dapat gawin sa panahong tumaas ang tubig sa kanilang mga lugar. – Ulat ni Rod Lagusad / CF- jlo
