MCIA, tatanggap na muli ng inbound international flights

Muli nang pinayagan ang inbound international flights sa Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) ngayong araw (Hunyo 6) matapos kamakailangang ilipat ang mga flights nito sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Nagmula ang direktiba sa Malacañang kung saan inilipat ang mga inbound international flights ng MCIA tungong NAIA mula Mayo 29 hanggang Hunyo 5 upang mabawasan ang punuang accredited quarantine facilities sa Cebu City.

Kamakailan din ay nagpatupad ng sariling ordinansa at guidelines si Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia para sa mga overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) at returning overseas Filipinos.

Sa ilalim ng kanyang sariling ordinansa, hindi kailangang sumailalim ng mga Pilipinong magmumula sa abroad sa itinakdang quarantine period ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID).

Dito binigyang diin ni Garcia ang kahalagahan ng pag-unawa sa sitwasyon ng mga OFWs at returning overseas Filipinos sa panahon ng pandemya.

Kaugnay nito, pinabulaanan din ng Malacañang ang balita na magsasampa ito ng kaso laban kay Garcia dahil sa pagpapatupad nito ng sariling health at safety protocols.

“Tungkol po kay Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia, wala pong katotohanan ang mga lumalabas na report na may plano ako kasama di umano si Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra na magsampa po ng kaso laban kay Governor Gwen Garcia,” saad ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque sa isang public briefing.

Aniya, isa lamang paraan ng “innovation” ang itinakdang protocol sa Cebu dahil sa kakulangan ng pasilidad para sa quarantine requirements ng OFWs at returning overseas Filipinos. –rir
