Metro League games postponed due to ‘Rosita’

MANILA — Despite the effect of Typhoon Rosita being not as intense in Metro Manila as in Northern Luzon, the storm forced the postponement of the Metro League Open Division games scheduled at the Valenzuela Astrodome on Tuesday night.

Valenzuela was supposed to host Marikina in the main game of the triple-header that also has Pateros taking on Quezon City, and Caloocan battling Taguig.

The postponed games have a huge bearing on the race for a twice-to-beat advantage in the division semifinals.

The Workhorses, Junior Capitals, and the Supremo All-Stars are tied for second place in the North Division.

Isang Pateros, on the other hand, are just one game behind the Generals at the top of the South Division standings.

Metro Manila has been placed under Signal No. 1 as of posting. (Ivan Stewart Saldajeno/PNA)
