MIAA to receive ISO certification

MANILA — The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) is set to receive an ISO 9001:2015 Certification on Wednesday, an executive told the Philippine News Agency (PNA).

The certification is particularly for the “Management of Passenger Facilitation Process and Provision of Support Processes to Passenger Facilitation at NAIA Terminals 1,2,3 and 4.”

“This is not MIAA’s first ISO certificate. Receiving this one would add prestige to MIAA, since this proves that the processes we do here are ISO-certified,” MIAA Media Affairs Division head, Jess Martinez, said.

He added that receiving this certificate proves that the operations at the NAIA are all documented and follow a step-by-step process.

MIAA described the ISO 9001:2015 as “a program designed to provide excellence to airport users through consistent levels of quality. This is an undertaking of MIAA together with other agencies operating at the NAIA Complex”.

The awarding of the certificate will be led by Ma. Melanie Olbita, ISC Global general manager. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
