Militar, naka-alerto sa pag-atake ng Abu Sayyaf sa mga kampo sa Sulu

Inaabangang na ngayon ng mga pwersa ng pamahalaan sa lalawigan ng Sulu ang possibleng pag-atake ng mga Abu Sayyaf sa mga kampo ng militar.

Ito’y kasunod sa ginawang pangha-harass ng mga teroristang Abu Sayyaf sa kampo ng 32nd Infantry Battalion na nakabase sa Barangay Taglibi, Patikul, Sulu noong bisperas ng Pasko na ikinasugat ng apat na sundalo at isang sibilyan.

Ayon kay Joint Task Force Sulu Commander Brigadier General Cirilito Sobejana ipinag-utos niya sa mga tropa na palakasin ang kanilang mga defensive positions para maitaboy ang anumang pag-kilos ng mga kalaban.

Possible kasi aniyang samantalahin ng Abu Sayyaf ang holiday season para mag-surprise attack sa mga sundalo kaya’t naka-alerto ang lahat ng kanilang mga kampo.

Sinabi ni Sobejana na maaring paghihiganti ang motibo ng mga bandido dahil karamihan sa kanilang mga kasamahan ay nagbalik-loob na sa gobyerno.

Tiniyak naman ng Heneral na sa kabila ng holiday season ay tuluy-tuloy pa rin ang focused military operation ng militar kontra sa Abu Sayyaf sa probinsiya ng Sulu. | (Leo Sarne/Radyo Pilipinas)
