The Misamis Oriental government will grant a one-day holiday for all women personnel on March 21 in celebration of the National Women’s Month.

Gov. Yevgeny Emano said the paid day off was a form of recognition the contribution of women personnel to the development of the province and its people.

“Women deserve to be acknowledged for their effort in providing for their family and their community,” Emano said on Tuesday, as he cited the “multiple roles” of women in the family and in national development.

Emano said the Capitol has also set a tour for women personnel to the province’s tourist sites.

Meanwhile, the local government of Cagayan de Oro said its gender and development committee has set up food exhibits for products made by women organizations in the city.
