The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) began apprehending on Tuesday, Aug. 1, motorcycle riders seeking shelter from the rain under flyovers and footbridges.

MMDA Traffic Discipline Office Director for Enforcement Atty. Victor Nuñez said it is dangerous for motorcycle riders to block the path of other motorists as it may cause accidents.

Nuñez said the purpose of its implementation is for the safety of all motorists and to prevent potential accidents on the roads.

He also reminded motorcycle riders to bring raincoats before leaving home. – cf
