MMDA studies stop and go scheme to ease EDSA heavy traffic

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is looking into the implementation of the stop and go scheme to ease the heavy traffic jam caused by closed u-turn slots along EDSA.

MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia disclosed that the areas included in their implementation are Congressional Avenue and Quezon Avenue.

He pointed out that the flow of traffic is very important especially that there are a lot of travelers during the holidays. He clarified that no u-turn slots will be closed for the month of December.

The MMDA also shared that private vehicles have a faster travel time this Christmas season compared to 2019 due to the implementation of the new system. – PTV News
