Mobile Water Station ide-deploy sa siyam na barangay sa Cebu City

Magkakaroon na ng mapagkukunan ng tubig na maiinom ang 9 na mga barangay sa Cebu City na na-identify ng Metropolitan Cebu Water District na may mahina pang supply ng tubig.

Ang mobile water station ay ipinadala ng Lucio Tan Group of Companies upang magamit ng Cebu City.

Ayon kay Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama, unang ide-deploy ang mobile water station sa Brgy Sambag 1, susundan ng walo pang mga barangay na kinabibilangan ng Mambaling, Lahug, Tisa, Kamputhaw, Kinansang-an Pardo, Basak Pardo, at Banilad.

Nasa mahigit 2,000 gallon ng tubig ang mapo-proseso nito kada araw. Maliban sa malinis na tubig, maari ring makapag-charge ng kanilang cellphone ang mga residente.

Sa report ng MCWD noong Dec. 24, nasa halos 50% na ng kanilang franchise area ang nasuplyan ng tubig gamit ang mga generator sets. Samantala, 18 pumping stations na nito ang naibalik na ang supply ng kuryente.

Sa ngayon, 10 araw na matapos ang pananalasa ni bagyong Odette, pahirapan pa rin ang supply ng tubig sa Cebu City lalo na mapagkukunan ng maiinom na tubig. (RPU) – bny
