More pig carcasses dumped in QC river

Another dead pig and body parts were found in the Kalamyong River in Bagong Silangan, Quezon City. Authorities suspect they came from Payatas judging from the water flowing downstream. The Department of Agricultured (DA) reiterated that the improper disposal of animal carcasses is a violation of the Animal Welfare Law and Solid Waste Management Act. This practice is discouraged since it canĀ  also spread the African Swine Fever (ASF) and other bacteria to other areas faster.
