NAMCYA holds webinar on works of Julio Nakpil

The National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) will be holding a webinar titled “Music, History and the Birth of a Nation: The Works of Julio Nakpil (1867-1960).”

It will be on Friday (Sept. 10) at 1:00 p.m. and is in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Asian Institute of Maritime Studies (AIMS).

The speaker will be Dr. Maria Alexandra I. Chua, an associate professor of musicology from the University of Santo Tomas (UST).

Registration is free and open to everyone.

The NAMCYA will be accepting 490 participants.
