Napapaulat na price hike sa generators sa Negros Occidental, binabantayan ng pamahalaan

Nakabantay ang pamahalaan sa presyo ng mga bilihin sa Negros Occidental, kasunod ng pananalasa ng bagyong Odette.

Ito ayon kay Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, ay makaraang makatanggap ng ulat ang pamahalaan kaugnay sa price hike sa lugar kabilang na ang bentahan sa mga generator.

Ayon sa kalihim base sa natanggap na impormasyon ng goberyno, ibinibenta sa dobleng halaga ang mga generator lalo at pahirapan pa rin ang supply ng kuryente sa lugar.

“The Department of Trade and Industry will look into and will monitor reports of price hikes, including generators, which are reportedly being sold at twice their usual prices,” ayon kay Nograles.

Kaugnay nito, sa naging pagbisita ng pangulo sa Negros Occidental upang personal na alamin ang sitwasyon doon, inatasan ng pangulo ang Department of Energy (DOE) na madaliin pa ang pagpapanumbalik ng power supply sa mga apektadong lugar.

“The Department of Energy will work double time to restore power supply in affected areas as soon as possible,” ani Nograles. -rir
