NBI to probe speedy release of two Chinese nationals

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will investigate the speedy release of two Chinese nationals arrested in an illegal medical facility in Pampanga.

The two Chinese nationals were nabbed after the raid of an illegal medical facility that accepts Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients in Clark Freeport, Pampanga.

The investigation was ordered by Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Menardo Guevarra after receiving a report that they were released within the same day of their arrest.

The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) conducted the raid of the facility last week but failed to file a case due to the prolonged release of certification on the confiscated medicine unauthorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
