NCR’s ‘We Vax As One’ program to vaccinate residents from neighboring provinces

The government is hoping that through the “We Vax As One” program, a lot more Filipinos will be vaccinated.

The program focuses on vaccinating residents from the National Capital Region’s (NCR) neighboring areas through the help of local government units (LGUs) in NCR.

In a public briefing on Monday (Aug. 23), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benhur Abalos said vaccination sites for We Vax As One program will be placed at the borders of Metro Manila and its neighboring provinces, such as Rizal, Laguna, Bulacan, and even Cavite.

Abalos added that NCR LGUs will start vaccinating residents from nearby areas outside NCR once each of the LGUs have vaccinated their target population.

– Report from Allan Francisco / CF – rir
