NEDA supports dry run of face-to-face classes

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) supports the dry run of the face-to-face classes in January.

NEDA Acting Secretary Karl Chua stated that it is part of the development in the gradual opening of the remaining sectors in the Philippine economy.

He pointed out that face-to-face learning cannot be surpassed since many students have a hard time learning through distance learning.

“Ito ay isang magandang development (This is a good development) because it signals that we actually have done a lot already in our fight against COVID. Like any opening of the economy, let’s pilot it. Don’t open it for all. Start small. See what can be improved and gradually expand.”

Acting Sec. Chua observed that distance learning also affects the work of the parents who need to stay home to assist their children in their online classes. He assured that NEDA will keep on coordinating with health experts in the gradual opening of the economy. – Report from Naomi Tiburcio
