The National Housing Authority (NHA) held Friday, Jan. 20, the groundbreaking for the resettlement project for recent flood victims in Northern Mindanao.

The Minsapinit Housing Project in Gingoog, Misamis Oriental will have 125 single-storey row houses, with each unit having its own living room, dining, kitchen, and two bedrooms.

This, after President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. directed the NHA to find a resettlement site for the families affected by flooding caused by weather disturbances in December 2022.

Over 51,692 families were affected by the shear line in Northern Mindanao from December 24 to 26, with Gingoog reporting 987 damaged houses. – Katrina Gracia Consebido-ag
